We’re hosting our first ever FREE one-day workshop here at Two Little Mice. It’s free of charge, and open to any student from grades 6-12.
Students get a chance to interact with local news stories and choose one that they connect with.
Next, they’ll learn to engage with the article they’ve chosen through the steps of Identify, Describe, Explain, and Analyze.
Then, they’ll summarize the article, consider different view points on the topic, and share their own opinions. We’ll end with a “Next Steps” discussion where we’ll determine what students could do in the community to enact change, based on their thoughts and opinions.
